REV. MONROE GREEN age 84 of Centre passed away Friday April 17 in Redmond Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be 3 PM Sunday April 19th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Bobby Kirk, Rev. Jason Smith, Rev. Greg Locklear and Rev. Dan Hale officiating, burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 PM Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Grandson’s.
Survivors include wife, Marilyn Green of Centre; sons, Tommy (Rolene) Green of Centre, Starrett (Donna) Green of Centre, Michael (Betty) Green of Dixon, Ca., Darrell (Shelia) Green of Centre; daughter, Nelda Hollingsworth of Centre; step-children, Daniel (Denise) Berry of Power Spring, Ga., Bobby (Shelia) Flynt of Cedar Bluff, Greg (Shirley) Flynt of Spring Garden, Louis (Gayle) Flynt of Cedar Bluff, Jimmy Berry of Cedartown, Ga., Mark Flynt of Cedar Bluff.; brother, James B. Green; sister, Demeris (John) Davis; 11 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; 19 Step-Grandchildren; 13 Step-Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ada Nell Green.
Rev. Green was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Charlie and Emmie Brock Green .He was a retired Baptist minister and from Cherokee Electric Co-op. Rev. Green was member of Moshat Baptist Church.
