Miss Mary Elizabeth Crowe, age 77, of Gaylesville, AL died Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at her residence.
Miss Crowe was born July 22, 1937 in Cherokee County, AL, New Moon Community, the daughter of the late George Orr Crowe and Myrtle McCullough Crowe. She was retired from Best Manufacturing. Miss Crowe was a member of Mt. Zion Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Crowe, JR; and a niece, Tina Crowe Gazaway.
Miss Crowe is survived by brother William Frank “Bill” Crowe and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p. m. (E.S.T.)Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ralph Crowe, Georgie Crowe, Coleman Thompson, and Marty Crowe. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Todd, Gene Todd, JR Hughes, Donald Joe Hughes, Chris Roach, Melissa Keith, Heather Hamilton; and employees of ABC Hospice.
Miss Crowe will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p. m. (E.S.T.) on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that memorials be made to the Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund.
