Authorities all across Cherokee County have been working to make sure residents are kept safe during the winter storm threatening the area.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for the WEIS Radio listening are through midnight Wednesday with four to six inches of snow in the forecast.
Officials with the City of Centre met Tuesday afternoon to put the finishing touches on their emergency plan for the next 24 – 36 hours.
Cherokee County EMA Officials – with personnel from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Cherokee County Highway Department, Cherokee County Fire Departments, Cherokee EMS & Rescue and Cherokee County Healthcare Officials met to discuss what emergency plans will be in effect for the next couple of days.
