GADSDEN– South 11th Street will close between Eastside Drive and Randall Street starting Monday, Nov. 9, 2026. The city expects the closure to last until April 2027. City of Gadsden
During construction, drivers traveling through the area should detour using Randall Street, Hickory Street, and Central Avenue. Meanwhile, South 11th Street between Black Creek Parkway and Eastside Drive will remain open to local traffic only.
Crews will rebuild and realign the closed stretch of South 11th Street. They will also add sidewalks. Afterward, pedestrians will be able to walk between South Gadsden and downtown without using the roadway.
The city will provide updates as needed.
