According to the city of Ft. Payne’s FaceBook account, residents should expect a local railroad crossing to close for a few hours Tuesday.
According to Norfolk Southern Railroad officials, the Hwy 35/5th Street North railroad crossing will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. for approximately six hours on November 3, 2026 for maintenance.
Travelers are encouraged to plan accordingly. The city of Ft. Payne thanks residents for their understanding and patience.
