PIEDMONT– A free Piedmont haunted house event will give families a Halloween night of scares, candy and dinner without an admission charge.
Stroked Out Diesel will host the haunted house and trunk-or-treat beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2026. The event will take place at 576 U.S. Highway 278 Bypass East in Piedmont.
Organizers will also provide a free hot dog dinner, including chips and drinks, for the entire family. Admission, activities and the meal are all free.
For organizers, the purpose reaches beyond Halloween entertainment. Because many families face financial pressures, they want to offer an evening everyone can enjoy without worrying about the cost.
Spring Garden Athletes Help Host
Spring Garden High School student athletes will help run the event. In addition, organizers will accept optional donations to support the school’s sports programs, according to the event flyer.
However, donations are not required to attend or participate. Families can enjoy the haunted house, trunk-or-treat and dinner without contributing.
Organizers describe the haunted house as offering spooky fun for younger children, teenagers and adults as well. They also hope to welcome families from across Northeast Alabama and Northwest Georgia.
