Fort Payne Man Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-59

announcing a fatal Fort Payne crash involving an SUV and tractor-trailer on Interstate 59.

FORT PAYNE– A Fort Payne man died Friday, October 2, in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 59, according to WAFF. The station identified him as 62-year-old Mansel Clinton Dalton of Fort Payne.

Fort Payne Police Chief David Davis said the crash happened around 2:45 a.m. near mile marker 225. Police said Dalton was driving his SUV northbound, while a tractor-trailer was also traveling north.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, WAFF reported.
