GADSDEN– Alabama residents pursuing automotive manufacturing careers can apply for a share of $400,000 in scholarships, according to Gadsden State Community College.
The Alabama Community College System and Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association are offering awards of up to $4,000. Students can also use the scholarships for tuition, books, and fees during the spring, summer, or fall 2027 semesters.
Applicants must be Alabama residents with at least a 2.5 GPA and enrollment in an eligible community college program. However, the college said dually enrolled high school students do not qualify.
Eligible programs include mechatronics, advanced manufacturing technology, automated manufacturing technology, industrial electronics technology, and industrial maintenance technology. They also include manufacturing technology, machining/machine tool/CNC, automotive service technology, robotic welding technology, and engineering technology.
In addition, students can apply through the Dream It, Do It Alabama scholarship page. The application deadline is Friday, Oct. 30.
