At the September 22nd Centre City Council meeting, the town adopted a recommendation from Fire Chief Robert Pace that Rita Stubbs be granted a lifetime membership with the department.
Chief Pace spoke on behalf of Centre Fire, and the council unanimously approved the recommendation.
Mayor Jay Howell interrupted the meeting to give Stubbs a key to the city.
