CENTRE — The Cherokee County Lady Warriors swept a volleyball tri-match with Fort Payne and Sylvania on Thursday. They rallied to defeat Fort Payne 15-25, 25-22, 15-7, then beat Sylvania 25-13, 25-13 to improve to 19-9 on the season.

In the win over Fort Payne, Sydni Frost managed 15 assists, four digs and two kills. Mattie Green collected eight assists, six digs, three kills and two blocks. Taniya Fife delivered five digs, three kills, two aces, two assists and a block. 

Ava Haygood posted 15 kills, six digs and an ace. Jolie Alexander finished with seven kills, two digs and a block.

Against Sylvania, Frost came away with eight assists, two digs and an ace. Green added nine assists, two digs and two aces. Fife had five digs, three aces, two kills and an assist.

Haygood contributed eight kills, three digs and an ace. Alexander finished with five kills, three digs, an ace and a block.
