SAND ROCK — Senior Molly Grace Lay posted 18 digs — including the 1,000th of her career against Hokes Bluff — in the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats’ tri-match wins over visiting Hokes Bluff and Ider on Thursday. They defeated Hokes Bluff 25-16, 24-26, 15-7, then beat Ider 25-16, 25-6.
Lay also contributed seven kills and a pair of aces for the Lady Wildcats (7-15). Emma Sipsy delivered 15 kills and 16 digs. Maddie Clanton collected 38 assists, three blocks and three aces.
Aubie Camp came away with 25 digs. Macy Martin managed 16 digs and a pair of aces. Paitlyn Hughes, Addisyn McMichen and Alyvia Browder each finished with four kills.
Sand Rock plays in a Round Robin Tournament at Boaz on Saturday.
