CHATTOOGA COUNTY– The Chattooga County Coroner’s Office announced Greg Hawkins’ appointment as a deputy coroner Tuesday. Hawkins is known throughout the community as “Hawk.”
During the ceremony, Judge Gary Woods administered the oath of office. Coroner Jeremy McElhaney and Senior Deputy Coroner Earle Rainwater attended the swearing-in.
Hawkins has served Chattooga County for many years in emergency services. In addition, the Coroner’s Office said it is fortunate to have him continue serving the community in his new capacity.
