SAND ROCK – Sand Rock won its varsity home opening volleyball match against Cedar Bluff on Thursday. The scores were 25-9, 25-11 and 25-16.

Emma Sipsy collected eight kills and 17 digs for the Lady Wildcats (4-11). Maddie Clanton posted 28 digs and four aces. Molly Grace Lay came away with 22 digs, three aces and five kills. Aubie Camp contributed 15 digs.

Alyvia Browder accounted for six kills. Addisyn McMichen delivered five kills. Taylyn Warren had four kills. Macy Martin managed three aces. Paitlyn Hughes finished with three kills.

Paityn Walker led Cedar Bluff (5-6) with seven kills and a pair of digs. Marlee Timm managed four digs and three assists. Vana Martin posted 20 digs, an ace and an assist.

Jahleigh Dodd delivered three kills. Piper Cromer came away with three digs. Makayla Kimmons also had three digs. Jakirah Brown contributed a dig and a block. Marley Horton finished with a kill.

Cedar Bluff travels to Spring Garden on Tuesday. Sand Rock plays in the tri-match with Bremen (Ga.) at Cherokee County on Tuesday.
