Cedar Bluff volleyball goes 1-3 in Coosa (Ga.) Invitational

COOSA, Ga. – The Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers opened their volleyball season at the Coosa (Ga.) Invitational on Saturday. The Lady Tigers went 1-3 for the day. They lost to Rome 25-21, 16-25, 11-15, lost to Pepperell 23-25, 25-18, 10-15, defeated Trion 25-18, 22-25, 15-12, and lost to Ridgeland 13-25, 25-20, 9-15.

In the loss to Rome, Paityn Walker delivered three assists, three kills, a block and an ace. Marlee Timm tallied four assists, a kill and two aces. Vana Martin posted eight digs. Cece Davis had two kills. Piper Cromer came away with a pair of aces. Makayla Kimmons had three digs. Marley Horton and Jakirah Brown both finished with a kill.

In the loss to Pepperell, Walker collected four assists, six kills, a block, an ace and two digs. Timm earned eight assists and two kills. Martin had six digs. Davis came away with three kills. Cromer had two kills and two digs. Brown finished with two kills.

In the win over Trion, Walker posted 11 kills, an assist and a dig. Timm contributed seven assists, a kill and an ace. Martin had an ace and eight digs. Davis came away with three kills, a block and two aces. Cromer managed two kills and three digs. Brown finished with a kill, an ace and a dig.

In the loss to Ridgeland, Walker accumulated 10 kills, a pair of assists, a pair of digs and an ace. Timm had 10 assist and two aces. Martin posted 13 digs. Davis contributed six kills and an ace. Cromer had a kill and an ace. Horton had two kills. Kimmons finished with a kill.

Cedar Bluff hosts Piedmont and Collinsville on Tuesday beginning at 5 p.m.
