CENTRE– According to information provided to WEIS Radio, officers with the Centre Police Department arrested a man on outstanding warrants Sunday morning.
The incident began with a domestic dispute between two brothers at a barbershop off West Main Street.
During an initial check, officers found the business’s doors unlocked. However, on checking again, they discovered that one man had locked himself inside.
The man refused to leave. Officers then called for backup, and several other law enforcement agencies responded to assist.
Police spent an extended period speaking with the man. Eventually, officers persuaded him to exit the building without further escalation.
Afterward, officers arrested the man on outstanding warrants and booked him into the Cherokee County Detention Center.
