SPRING GARDEN – Madison Bates earned her first win as Spring Garden’s volleyball coach Thursday as the Lady Panthers rallied from a set down to defeat Cleburne County. The scores were 27-29, 25-12, 25-18 and 25-20.

Aubrey Kelley and Addie Word led the Lady Panthers (1-0) with nine kills apiece. Word also added five assists, three aces and a block.

Kylie Bates delivered eight kills. Maya Jennings collected seven kills, an assist and a block. Lleyton Carroll contributed five kills, 14 assists and four aces. Carmen Truss came away with three kills and two blocks.

Lacie Jo McMurray and Addie Smith both tallied four assists and two aces. Gracie Simpson managed three assists, and Hayden Parris finished with a kill.

Spring Garden hosts Sand Rock and White Plains on Tuesday beginning at 5 p.m.
