Central Alabama Severe Weather Threat Includes Damaging Winds Thursday

Heat Advisory continues for southern and western areas as another storm risk develops Friday

CENTRAL ALABAMA– Central Alabama severe weather could bring damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph Thursday afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham placed all of Central Alabama under a Level 1 of 5 severe thunderstorm risk. The risk period runs from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20.
