Mrs. Willene Stiefel Hamilton, age 84, of Centre, AL, formerly of Gadsden, AL, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at her home following an extended illness.
She was born in Fyffe, AL, and spent her later years in Centre and Gadsden, AL.
She loved fishing, tending to her flower beds, crafts, and loved helping out at church. She was a very giving person and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her daughter, Christy King Waddell (Joel); grandsons Shawn Waddell and David King; granddaughter, Lindsey Vaughn; step-granddaughters, Erin Cobb and Taylor Glass; 2 great-grandchildren, and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Hamilton; parents, Gus and Hattie Stiefel; 5 sisters; 4 brothers; daughter, Melanie King Cook; son, Billy Eugene King; stepdaughter, Ponda Cobb; granddaughter, Candi Waddell; and grandson, Ben King.
Many thanks to her caregivers from Centerwell Home Health and Gentiva Hospice for their help and guidance in the last years and especially the last few weeks.
The family has requested no food or flowers at this time.
