Margaret Louise Olson, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 17th, 2026. She passed peacefully in her sleep in the comfort of her home surrounded by loving family.
Louise was born at home on April 27, 1944, in Bartow County, Georgia. As a young mother of barely 23, she turned down a contract singing country music because the touring would take her away from her family. Saved in 1978, she became a dedicated Christian. After the kids were grown, she was able to spend years singing traditional southern gospel music at small churches and revivals throughout northern Georgia and Alabama.
Louise was well known as a loving and caring person who was also firm in her principles and highly respected for it. She was an avid student of the Bible until her eyes gave out, a prolific quilter until her fingers shook too much, and loved to sit at the kitchen table and watch the birds in the backyard. It has also been noted that she was always well dressed.
Whether she was Mama, Nana, Aunt Louise, or Miss Louise, she made sure that everyone knew she loved them.
She was predeceased by children, in order: her infant son, Robert Lee Robbins, and her two stepsons, Ronald Martin Olson who she will be buried near, and Royce Earl Olson, Jr. Also preceding her were her second husband of 51 years, Royce Earl Olson, and then her first husband of 7 years, Bobby Ray Robbins. She was the last of her siblings: in order of passing, Martha, lost as a toddler to whooping cough, Vina May (Sally), David, and the twins Doris and Iris.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Linda Cox; daughter, Anita Kline; and son, Bobby Robbins, Jr. She had four grandchildren (Tabitha, Robyn, Johnny, and Jena), six step-grandchildren (including Christy Phillips and Jessie Cox), and many great and great-great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
According to her wishes, there will only be a simple graveside service, Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11 am (Eastern Time) at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens at the corner of Woodstock Rd and Hwy 92 in Acworth, GA (4355 GA-92, Acworth, GA). She supported them for decades.
