DEKALB COUNTY– DeKalb County deputies responded to 68 calls over the Fourth of July weekend as law enforcement worked around the clock to keep the community safe.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to 27 calls on Saturday, July 4, and 41 calls on Sunday, July 5.
Those calls included domestic disturbances, traffic crashes, suspicious activity, welfare checks, animal complaints, reports, traffic stops and other incidents that required a deputy’s response.
The Sheriff’s Office said every call matters, whether it involves a life-threatening emergency or someone who simply needs assistance.
Deputies, dispatchers, correctional officers and staff continued serving the community throughout the holiday weekend.
The Sheriff’s Office also thanked the citizens of DeKalb County for celebrating responsibly and helping make the weekend safer for everyone.
