CHEROKEE COUNTY – Motorists traveling in portions of Cherokee County next week should be prepared for possible delays as contractors begin resurfacing several county roads.
According to officials, paving work is scheduled during the week of July 6 in both the Leesburg and McCords Cross Roads areas.
In the Leesburg area, resurfacing is planned for:
- County Road 44
- St. Clair Road
- Holman Street
In the McCords Cross Roads area, contractors will be resurfacing:
- County Road 157
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through these work zones and should expect possible traffic delays while paving operations are underway.
The paving schedule is weather permitting and may be adjusted if necessary.
