Community Donation Drive to Benefit Etowah County Families Begins June 25

RAINBOW CITY – The Rainbow City Police Explorers are partnering with the Rainbow City Public Library to host a month-long community donation drive to benefit families in need throughout Etowah County.

The donation drive begins June 25 and continues through July 24. All donations collected will be given to White Springs Baptist Church for distribution to local families facing hardship.

Organizers are seeking donations of non-expired food items, including boxed foods such as cereal and pasta, canned goods including soups, vegetables and meats, as well as other non-perishable snacks.

The drive is also collecting toiletries and personal care items, including toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

In addition, community members are encouraged to donate baby essentials such as diapers, wipes and infant formula.

Donations may be dropped off at two locations: Rainbow City Hall, where items may be left with the Police Clerk, or the Rainbow City Public Library during regular business hours.

The Rainbow City Police Explorers and the Rainbow City Public Library encourage residents to support the effort, noting that every donation helps provide much-needed assistance to families across Etowah County.

For more information about the donation drive, contact Officer Russell at arussell@rbcalabama.com or call the Rainbow City Public Library.
