
CENTRE-Motorists are advised that East Main Street will be closed to through traffic from Cedar Bluff Road to Armory Road during the PCA Rodeo weekend at Estes Field that is to be held Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th.
The rodeo will begin each evening at 5:30 PM, and increased traffic is expected before and after each performance as attendees arrive and depart.
To accommodate event activities and ensure the safety of participants, spectators, and motorists, traffic traveling through the area will be directed along a marked detour route.
### Detour Route
– Travel Cedar Bluff Road
– Continue to the East Bypass
– Follow the bypass to Armory Road
– Re-enter East Main Street from Armory Road
Traffic control signs and detour markers will be posted throughout the affected area for the duration of the weekend.
Motorists should expect:
– Increased traffic volumes on detour routes
– Delays during peak arrival and departure times
– Increased pedestrian activity near Estes Field and surrounding roadways
– Temporary congestion in the vicinity of the rodeo grounds
Drivers are encouraged to:
– Allow extra travel time when traveling through the area
– Follow all posted detour signs and traffic control devices
– Use caution and reduce speeds in areas with increased pedestrian traffic
– Be alert for law enforcement officers and event personnel directing traffic
