Train Strikes Unoccupied Vehicle at DeArmanville Crossing; No Injuries Reported

OXFORD — Emergency crews responded Tuesday evening, May 5, to a train versus unoccupied vehicle incident at the railroad crossing on DeArmanville Drive North near DeArmanville Elementary School, according to the Oxford Fire Department.

Authorities confirmed there were no injuries reported in the incident.

Following the crash, the intersection at 110 DeArmanville Drive North was shut down for an extended period while crews worked to assess the scene and remove the vehicle. Motorists were urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

At approximately 10 p.m., officials also reported that the crossing at Kelly Lynn Drive was temporarily blocked as part of ongoing response and cleanup efforts in the area.

Fire Officials later confirmed the scene was cleared, and normal traffic flow was restored after crews completed their work.
