COLLINSVILLE – Geraldine scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning to take the lead and held on for a 9-5 win over Collinsville in the Class 3A, Area 13 softball tournament on Friday.

Aubrey Reeves led the Lady Panthers (21-17) by going 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs, and a RBI. Gabriella Whitmore doubled and drove in a run. Ella Coker doubled and scored a run.

Maelee Barkley collected a hit, a walk and scored a run. Brayleigh Smith had a hit and scored a run. Halle Peek and Jemma Smith both drew a walk.

Brayleigh Smith suffered the loss. She tossed 6 2/3 innings and allowed two earned runs on nine hits with four walks and four strikeouts.

Both teams continue play in the tournament on Saturday.
