GLENCOE – Cherokee County High School’s Asher Ellis and Jack Davis qualified as individuals to play in the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s golf sub-state tournament Tuesday at Silver Lakes near Glencoe.

Ellis shot 76 and finished fifth while Davis delivered a 78 to take seventh out of 59 golfers at the Class 4A, Section 3 tournament.

The duo will compete in the sub-state round at BlackBerry Trail in Florence on May 4.
