Two Crashes Reported on County Road 14 Wednesday Evening
One Injured

CHEROKEE COUNTY — Emergency crews responded to two separate single-vehicle accidents along County Road 14 on Wednesday evening, occurring within approximately 30 minutes of each other at different locations.
The first crash happened at the intersection of County Roads 14 and 19. Responding agencies included the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Mount Wisner Fire Department, Alabama State Troopers, and Atrium Floyd EMS. Officials reported that no injuries were reported in that incident.
A second crash was reported at approximately 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of County Roads 14 and 33. According to emergency personnel, one individual was injured and was ejected from the vehicle.
Responding to the second scene were the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Ellisville Fire Department, Alabama State Troopers, and Atrium Floyd EMS. The individual was transported by ambulance to the Centre-Piedmont Cherokee County Regional Airport, where a landing zone was established for a Lifeflight medical helicopter. The patient was then flown to a hospital for treatment.
Both accidents remain under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.
