Centre Invites Community to Join Choir for America 250AL Celebration at Estes Field

CENTRE— The City of Centre is inviting residents across Cherokee County to take part in a Community Choir being formed for the upcoming America 250AL Celebration scheduled for May 15 at Estes Field.

The choir will perform a selection of patriotic music as part of the commemorative event marking 250 years of American history. Organizers say the goal is to bring together voices from across the community in a unified performance honoring the nation’s milestone anniversary.

The Community Choir will be led by Keith Beatty, Worship Pastor at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Rehearsals are planned in advance of the event, with three practice sessions scheduled prior to the performance. The rehearsal location is still to be confirmed. Music and lyrics will be provided to participants ahead of rehearsals to allow for preparation.

Officials emphasize that no prior choir experience is required and participation is open to anyone who enjoys singing and wants to be part of the celebration.
