Mt. Olive F.C.M. Church Plans Decoration Day, Requests Cleanup of Cemetery Decorations

CHEROKEE COUNTY — Mt. Olive F.C.M. Church will hold its annual Decoration Day on Saturday, May 2, and is asking for the community’s assistance in preparing the cemetery grounds.

Church organizers are requesting that anyone with loved ones buried at the cemetery remove old or faded flowers by Saturday, April 25, ahead of the event. The cleanup is intended to help prepare the grounds for Decoration Day services and upkeep.

Church officials thanked families in advance for their cooperation and continued care of the cemetery.

Decoration Day services are scheduled to take place May 2.
