Jesse Battles Announces Independent Run for Alabama Senate District 10 After Ballot Removal

NORTHEAST ALABAMA — Jesse Battles has announced he will continue his campaign for Alabama Senate District 10 as an independent candidate after being removed from the Republican primary ballot.
In a statement, Battles said the campaign effort has been built through conversations with residents across Northeast Alabama, describing support from neighbors, families, and community members concerned about the future of the district.
Battles said his decision to run as an independent follows what he described as a recent setback, and stated that his campaign remains focused on issues affecting the region, including community priorities, economic development, and representation in state government.
As part of his effort to gain ballot access, Battles is now collecting petition signatures required for independent candidacy. According to campaign information, signatures must be completed in wet ink on official forms in order to be considered valid.
Petition locations have been made available at several sites, including El Tapatio 2 in Gadsden, Waffle King in Centre, and MagsPies in Gallant, with additional locations expected to be added.
Battles’ campaign stated that it will continue working to meet ballot requirements ahead of the upcoming election cycle.
