Cherokee County Announces Office Closures and Service Interruptions for Week of April 13

CENTRE — The Cherokee County Commission has announced several temporary closures and service interruptions affecting county offices during the week of April 13 through April 17.
The Cherokee County Probate Office will be closed on Monday, April 13, and Tuesday, April 14, as it prepares to relocate. The office is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, April 15, at its new location at 373 East Main Street in Centre. All other county offices will continue operating on their normal schedules during this time.
Officials also advised that the phone system at the County Administrative Building will be intermittently offline on Monday, April 13, while technicians perform maintenance on phone equipment. Residents attempting to contact offices in that building may experience temporary disruptions.
In addition, the Cherokee County Revenue Commissioner’s Office will be closed on Friday, April 17, to allow staff to participate in training.
County officials acknowledged the potential inconvenience caused by these changes and expressed appreciation for the public’s patience as improvements and updates are completed.
