HOKES BLUFF – The Sand Rock Lady Wildcats got behind by four runs early at Hokes Bluff on Monday. They rallied for three runs in the top of the fifth inning, but fell just short in a 4-3 softball loss.

Amelia Ford went 2-for-3 at the with a run. Emma Sipsy tripled, scored a run, and had a RBI. Molly Grace Lay added a hit and a RBI.

Alyvia McMichen and Madison Walker both went 1-for-3. Taylyn Warren walked and scored a run.

Macy Martin suffered the loss after working four innings. She gave up three earned runs on four hits with a walk and five strikeouts.
Sipsy worked two innings and gave up two hits with three strikeouts.

Sand Rock (18-12) hosts Gaston on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
