CENTRE – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, but Etowah held on for a 6-4 softball victory on Thursday.
Brooklynn Bruce led the Lady Warriors (12-11) at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a run. Emma Hill was 2-for-4.
Sofie Dawson and Kaylee Lewis both had a hit, a run, and a RBI. Izzy Patterson, Emma Eberhart, Sydni Frost, and Anna Morris each contributed a hit. Frost also walked.
Cherokee County travels to Sardis on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
