ANNISTON – Gaylesville’s Hayden Dodd tossed a five-inning no-hitter Thursday with no walks and 11 strikeouts in the Trojans’ 23-0 area baseball blowout at Faith Christian.

Cole Hendon collected five hits for the Trojans (4-8), including a double. Jack Sentell went 2-for-4 with four RBIs. Dodd and Sean Poss walked three times apiece.

The Trojans had an eight-run top of the fifth inning to cap the game. Sentell drew a walk to score a run, Aydn Heinrich singled to score a run, Gabe Davidson was hit by a pitch to drive in a run, Hendon singled to score a run, Dodd drew a walk to score a run. Bradley Smith was hit by a pitch to drive in a run, and Sentell drew a walk to score another run.

Gaylesville travels to Spring Garden on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
