GAYLESVILLE – Sean Poss went 3-for-4 at the plate, including a triple in the first inning, and drove in three runs to lead the Gaylesville Trojans to a 17-0 area baseball win over Faith Christian on Tuesday.
Gaylesville (3-8) posted 16 hits in the game. Bradley Smith also had three hits for Trojans. Lucas McCullough singled and drove in three runs. Malachi Jennings, Jack Sentell, and Jared Butts each collected multiple hits for the Trojans. One of Jennings’ hits was a three-run double in the third inning.
Hayden Dodd earned the win on the mound. He surrendered no runs on two hits in three innings with a walk and seven strikeouts. Hendon tossed two innings of scoreless ball. He allowed just one hit with no walks and three strikeouts.
The two teams will finish their series at Faith Christian on Thursday at 4 p.m.
