GAYLESVILLE – The Gaylesville Lady Trojans improved to 6-5 on the softball season with an 8-4 victory over Asbury on Monday.

Charlee Sentell went 3-for-3 at the plate with a run and a RBI for the Lady Trojans. Ellie Colbert was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs, and two RBIs. Kya Green went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs, and a RBI. MaKenlee Young was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Brooklyn Mitchell also went 2-for-4.

Lydia Reynolds tripled and scored a run. Bayleigh Ratliff had a hit and scored a run. Chloe Collins added a hit. Aubree Colbert walked and Taylee Keith scored a run.

Ellie Colbert tossed two innings and allowed four unearned runs on two hits with three walks and four strikeouts. Reynolds tossed five innings of relief and allowed a hit, no runs, three walks with six strikeouts.

Gaylesville hosts Spring Garden in an area game on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
