Mr. Jimmy Braxton Edgeworth, age 65 of Cedar Bluff, passed away on April 6, 2026, in Gadsden. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor David Sparkman officiating.
Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Marie Edgeworth; children, Jason Edgeworth (Nina), Eric Edgeworth (Rosa), and Tara Edgeworth; grandchildren, Alecia Edgeworth, Bubba Edgeworth, Summer Edgeworth, Breonica Holcomb (Randy), Allen Sartin, Eric Edgeworth (Daphne), Troy Sartin, Alex Edgeworth, Jacob Smith, Wesley Richardson, Tabitha Richardson, William Mason and Jackson Baldwin; great-grandchildren, Weston, Stormy, Kahleesia, Waylon, Kingston, and Scarlett; sisters, Linda Hawkins, Debbie Thomas, and Nita Coleman; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Tony Ford, and David and Lisa Sparkman; and chosen daughter, Kristy Abernathy (Brent).
Pallbearers will be Bubba Edgeworth, Eric Edgeworth, Allen Sartin, Troy Sartin, Alex Edgeworth, and Randy Holcomb. Honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Smith.
Jimmy was a retired nurse. He was an avid animal lover and an Alabama fan. His greatest love was his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Braxton Edgeworth, II; mother, Betty Jo Webb; grandparents, Dewy and Buena Webb; and brother, Kenneth Anthony.
