Collinsville softball falls to Pisgah, Hokes Bluff

RAINSVILLE – The Collinsville Lady Panthers lost a pair of games in the Gadsden Umpires Tournament on Saturday. They lost to Pisgah 8-1 and fell short to Hokes Bluff 6-5.

In the loss to Pisgah, Lexii Burt doubled for the Lady Panthers (10-11). Ella Coker delivered a hit and a RBI. Malee Barkley, Aubrey Reeves, and Gabriella Whitmore each contributed a hit. Whitmore also scored a run. Chloe DeBoard walked.

Bella Wills suffered the loss after allowing three unearned runs on 10 hits with two walks and no strikeouts.

In the loss to Hokes Bluff, Reeves tripled, scored two runs, and drove in one. Whitmore added a hit, a run, and two RBIs. Halle Peek posted a hit and a RBI. Preslye Uptain came away with a hit and a run. Coker contributed a hit and a walk.

Brayleigh Smith tossed 2 2/3 innings and surrendered four earned runs on three hits with two walks and no strikeouts. Barkley worked 2/3 of an inning and allowed an earned run on two hits with two walks and no strikeouts.

Collinsville is at Fyffe on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
