Boaz Teen Killed in Marshall County Crash

Marshall County- A Boaz teenager was killed Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Marshall County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

The crash occurred at approximately 12 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, on Old McVille Road near Gaines Circle, about seven miles east of Albertville.

Authorities said the 16-year-old was driving a 1996 Dodge Dakota when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The teen was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the crash. No additional information has been released.
