Several Promotions Announced at Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office

CENTRE — The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office has announced several promotions within the department, recognizing the service and dedication of three members of the agency.

According to information released by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Daniel Sims and Deputy Gavin Johnson have both been promoted to the rank of corporal.

In addition, Investigator Jonah Smith has been promoted to the rank of sergeant.

Officials with the sheriff’s office said the promotions reflect the hard work, dedication and commitment each of the officers has demonstrated while serving the citizens of Cherokee County.

The department expressed pride in the accomplishments of Sims, Johnson, and Smith, noting that their leadership will continue to benefit the agency and the community they serve.
