Mrs. Dorothy Nell “Dot” Johnson, age 94, of Centre, passed away March 27, 2026, at Cherokee County Health and Rehabilitation Center.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Cherokee Memory Gardens, with Rev. Gary Hardin officiating.
Mrs. Johnson was a respected local business owner here in Centre, operating “The Garage Sale” for 42 years. She was a faithful member of Centre First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, Steve Johnson; and daughters, Janet Cash, Nancy Hartline, and Patti (Doug) Ford; grandchildren, Holly Singletary, Kim Lott, Dylan Ford, Lauren Gentry, Chelsea Cash, and Hannah Ford, along with several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ivey Eugene Johnson and parents, Elvie Houston and Bertie Lou Christian Stanford.
The family extends a special thank you to Cherokee County Health and Rehabilitation Center for all their care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at website www.alz.org.
