RAINSVILLE – The Collinsville Lady Panthers won a pair of games in the Gadsden State Softball Tournament at Rainsville on Friday.
In the win over Section, the Lady Panthers (6-7) scored seven runs in the bottom of the second inning to take the lead.
Ella Coker homered and drove in four runs. Brayleigh Smith doubled and drove in a run. Carlee Davis doubled and scored two runs.
Lexii Burt had a hit, a run, and a RBI. Bella Wills had a hit, a walk, and a run.
Wills also worked four innings in the circle. She allowed one earned run, three hits, two walks, and three strikeouts.
In the win over Sand Rock, a six-run bottom of the third aided the Lady Panthers. Smith went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Burt was also 2-for-3 with a run and a RBI. Maelee Barkley added a hit, a walk, and a run. Halle Peek collected a hit, a walk, a run, and two RBIs. Davis delivered a hit and a run.
Smith earned the win after working five innings. She gave up an earned run on five hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
Alyvia McMichen led the Lady Wildcats at the plate by going 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBIs. Molly Grace Lay added a hit and scored run. Aubie Camp and Raven Todd both finished with a hit. Amelia Ford walked twice and scored a run.
Emma Sipsy suffered the loss.
