CAC Multidisciplinary Team Attends National Symposium on Child Sexual Abuse in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE-Members of the Cherokee County Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) multidisciplinary team recently attended the National Symposium on Child Sexual Abuse in Huntsville, Alabama, hosted by the National Children’s Advocacy Center. The annual symposium is one of the nation’s leading training events focused on child abuse prevention, investigation, and intervention.

Throughout the week, team members participated in advanced training sessions, collaborative workshops, and discussions with experts from across the country. The symposium provided valuable opportunities to strengthen professional knowledge, enhance investigative and advocacy practices, and build partnerships with fellow professionals dedicated to protecting children.
By attending this nationally recognized event, the Cherokee County CAC multidisciplinary team is bringing back the latest tools, evidence-based strategies, and best practices to better serve and protect children and families in the local community.

“Our team is committed to continuous learning and collaboration to ensure that we provide the highest level of care and protection for children,” said Lori Harris, CAC Executive Director. “The knowledge and connections our MDT members gained at this symposium will directly benefit the families we serve.”
