CENTRE – Aiden Bobbitt delivered what turned out to be the game-winning hit in the bottom of the sixth inning, a single that scored the go-ahead run in the Cherokee County Warriors’ 5-4 victory over Glencoe on Tuesday evening.
It was the second game of a doubleheader. The Warriors lost game one 14-1.
In the nightcap, the Warriors (6-8) managed just three hits in the game. Wyatt Baker had a hit, two walks, and two runs. Adam Griffith finished with a hit and a RBI.
Case Hill earned the win in relief and finished with three strikeouts. Owen Jacoway fanned four batters.
Cherokee County is at Gadsden City on Saturday at 11 a.m.
