Cedar Bluff Officials Attend Municipal Training Program

CEDAR BLUFF — Mayor Bill Warren and two members of the Cedar Bluff Town Council recently participated in a professional development program hosted by the Alabama League of Municipalities.
Council members Adam McNabb and Dustin Dutton joined Mayor Warren at Bevill State Community College for the League’s “Certified Municipal Official” training, a program designed to provide elected officials with a deeper understanding of municipal governance and operations.
The training covered a range of topics relevant to city leadership, including police and planning jurisdiction, case law and attorney general updates, and issues involving conflicting offices and interests. Additional sessions focused on municipal revenue sources, working with municipal boards, competitive bid law, and the latest legislative updates affecting local governments. Officials also attended a “Lunch and Learn” session highlighting programs offered by the Alabama League of Municipalities.
Mayor Warren emphasized the value of the program, noting that it serves as an important resource for elected officials seeking to better serve their communities.
He expressed appreciation to the Alabama League of Municipalities for offering the training, describing it as a vital opportunity to stay informed on issues impacting municipalities across the state.
