Mrs. Martha Arlene Stepps, age 82, of Centre, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at her home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Perry Funeral Home with Rev. David Jenkins and Rev. Jason Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sand Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary Freeman, Taylor Broome, Jeremy Stepps, Wesley Pruitt, Kevin Crane, Rodney Scott, and Nathan Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.
Mrs. Stepps is survived by her husband, Kenneth Stepps; daughters, Donna (Charles) Spears, Lisa Morgan, and Debbie (Robbie) Moon; step-son, Rodney Stepps; brother, Louie (Joyce) McGee; sisters, Peggy Hunter, Marie Wright, and Kay (Marshall) Plant; sister-in-law, Margie (Roy) Crane; special great-granddaughter, Jaselyn Morgan; grandchildren, Chris (Megan) Spears, Dalton (Chloe) Spears, Destiny (Dillan) Colbert, Jeremy (Heather) Stepps, Jennie (Mario) Gresham, Amy Seymour, April Moon, Kaylie Moon, and Kristen Moon; several special great-grandchildren; special friends, Gary and Wanda Freeman, Taylor and Jenna Broome; along with several nieces, nephews, and other friends and loved ones.
Martha and Kenneth would have celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on March 17. She was of the Baptist faith and dearly loved her family. She especially loved children and never met a child she did not love. Martha retired from Centre Manufacturing after 30 years of dedicated service.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Williamson; husband, Joe Benny Scott; step-daughter, Joyce Haney; and several brothers and sisters, Zella and David Stepps, and Cliff and Edna Scott.
