Mr. James Merle Higginbotham, 82, of Acworth, Georgia, formerly of Sand Rock, Alabama, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Atrium Health Floyd in Rome, Georgia.
A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, located off Tabor Road. The family will receive friends Saturday at Perry Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM prior to the service.
Mr. Higginbotham is survived by his daughter, Deanna Pratt; grandchildren, Codi Pratt and Conner Pratt; and a host of friends, family, and other loved ones who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Ruby Higginbotham Sr.; his brother, Gordon Higginbotham Jr.; and his son-in-law, Jerry Pratt.
