GADSDEN– A single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 2 p.m. Monday, March 9, and has caused a lane closure. Both the east and westbound lanes of U.S. 278 near Double A Circle in Etowah County is currently blocked and will be for an undetermined amount of time. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are currently on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
