An Off Road Vehicle Accident Near Sand Rock Sends Two to Hospital
The single vehicle Razr accident was reported at 7:40 pm Friday on a trail just off County Road 48. The occupants of the off-road vehicle were age 41 and 18 according to reports. Rescue Squad personnel on the scene said both suffered head injuries and one suffered injuries to an arm.
Both were transported to emergency medical facilities by Atrium Floyd EMS.
A Medivac Helicopter was called initially but when Medical Personnel arrived on the scene, the helicopter was cancelled.
Sand Rock Fire Department assisted with Personnel to help retrieve the victims from the wrecked vehicle and transport them to ambulances along with Cherokee County Rescue Squad, and Leesburg Police.
Leesburg Fire Department assisted by setting up the landing zone at the Fema Building for the inbound helicopter before it was cancelled.
