Overturned 18-Wheeler Shuts Down Portion of Highway 9 Near Cedar Bluff

CEDAR BLUFF — A section of Highway 9 just north of Cedar Bluff was shut down early Tuesday morning following an accident involving an overturned 18-wheeler.
The crash occurred early March 3. As of 5 a.m., the roadway remained closed as emergency crews continued working at the scene.
The accident site is located north of the Country Store. Both the Cedar Bluff Fire Department and the Gaylesville Fire Department responded to assist.
Traffic is being rerouted around the closure. Motorists traveling from Cedar Bluff are being diverted onto County Road 92. Drivers coming from Gaylesville are being directed to Highway 35 before being routed onto County Road 92.
The cause of the accident has not been released, and the incident remains under investigation. This is a developing story.
